Kent Police has confirmed the discovery of a woman’s body in Ramsgate harbour this morning (April 22).
Ramsgate RNLI crew were called after the report of the woman in the turning circle at the outer harbour outside of the western arm.
Kent Police was called at 8.42am.
A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene along with the Kent Coastguard and a body of a woman believed to be aged between 60 and 70 years old has been recovered from the water.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances around the incident.”
