Rotary Club of Margate has teamed up with Sainsbury’s at Westwood Cross once again to host the Thanet Schools Young Artists Festival.
The annual event runs for three days from tomorrow (April 20) until Sunday (April 22)
Thirty eight Thanet schools are exhibiting 800 individual paintings, created by the pupils from the age of four to 18. Tasked with this year’s theme of Our Changing World, the competition will showcase an array of vibrant and eye-catching artwork inspired by the young peoples’ free interpretation. Each school selected pictures to exhibit.
The official opening and prize giving will take place on Saturday, April 21 at noon on the store’s ground floor.
Judges awarded certificates to 76 young artists for outstanding work.
Visit the entrance hall Sainsbury’s Westwood Cross from 6am tomorrow to see the largest display of school art in Kent.
