A man has been detained by medical professionals following a flat fire in Margate last night (April 3).
Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 9.26pm to the fire in Appledore Close.
Two engines were sent and firefighters dealt with a blaze in a living room. Crews left the scene at 10.38pm. SECAmb and Kent Police also attended.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “The fire was deliberate and officers are investigating. A man was detained by medical professionals.”
The incident is not linked with other recent fires in the Millmead area.
