A 62-year-old man from Margate has been arrested on suspicion of assault and theft following an incident involving a male pedestrian and a van in Broadstairs on Monday (April 2).
Kent air ambulance and police were called to the scene of the incident by the Ramsgate Road Post Office and Brown Jug pub at 2.35pm that day.
Air ambulance was also called to the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and the top of West Dumpton Lane leading onto Ramsgate Road was closed while emergency services were at the scene.
The 62-year-old has been released pending further investigation.
The men are known to each other.
