Emergency services called to crash involving van and pedestrian in Broadstairs

Emergency services have been called to Broadstairs following a crash this afternoon (April 2).

Kent air ambulance and police were called to the scene of the incident involving a pedestrian and a van, which has collided with a wall by The Brown Jug pub in Ramsgate Road.

The pedestrian has been taken to hospital and the road is currently closed.

The air ambulance landed at Broadstairs Cricket Club grounds.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police received a report of a collision involving a van and pedestrian in Ramsgate Road at 2.35pm.

“Officers are at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service where the pedestrian, a man, has been taken to a local hospital.

“The road is currently closed at the top of West Dumpton Lane leading onto Ramsgate Road.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.”
