Man flown to London Hospital after fall from Botany Bay cliffs

Emergency services were called to Botany Bay this morning (March 28) after a man fell from the cliffs.

The call was made at around 6.30am. Police, ambulance and fire crews attended. The man was treated at the scene and then airlifted to Kings Hospital in London.

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: “At 06.39 this morning we responded to a call to a man who had fallen from the cliff, with an ambulance and our Hazardous Area Response Team also in attendance. The man was treated on scene and then flown by the air ambulance to Kings Hospital in London for further treatment.”

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to Marine Drive, Botany Bay, Broadstairs at 6.30am following a report that a man had sustained injuries in a fall.

“The man was taken to hospital for treatment to multiple injuries.”
