Police appeal after Ramsgate motorcyclist dies in A299 Cliffsend crash

A motorcyclist from Ramsgate died at the scene of an accident on the A299 at Cliffsend yesterday (March 26).

Kent Police was called to the scene, between the Sevenscore roundabout and the Hengist Way tunnel, at 1.51pm  along with crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent air ambulance.

The rider of a red Honda 250 motorcycle had crashed into the central reservation barrier.  Ambulance staff treated the man in his 30s at the roadside but he sadly died at the scene.

He had been travelling towards Ramsgate.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to speak with anyone who saw the motorcycle being driven in the moments leading up to the collision.

They would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage.
