An arrest has been made following an assault in Margate High Street yesterday (March 22).
Kent Police was called at 3.54am to a report of a disturbance in the town centre.
A man in his 20s was reportedly assaulted and suffered several injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The area was cordoned off for several hours while police and forensic teams investigated.
A 21-year-old man from Margate was arrested in Approach Road, Minster last night on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident.
The arrested man currently remains in custody.
