Margate’s eclecTic gallery set to celebrate first birthday

eclecTic Art marks one year

A gallery in Margate is marking its first birthday this week.

eclecTic Art in Broad Street is a co-operative, with nine local artists running and permanently displaying their varied artworks.

Artists Ian Barrowcliffe, Justin Gilday and Emily Tull have been joined by Annie Spencer-Smith, Annabella Losa, Alan Chapman, Mel Chennell, Alan Longley and Sian Morgan.

Alongside the art there is jewellery by Linda Mead.

The group are hosting a joint first birthday and welcome to new artists event on March 3-4. All participating artists will be there to talk about their disciplines, which include textiles, photography, glass, silver and painting.

The gallery can be found in the Old Town at 6 Broad Street, open 10.30am – 4.30pm.
