Two Thanet men charged in connection with ‘war medals’ burglary

Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary in Biddenden.

The Crown Prosecution has authorised a charge of receiving stolen goods against Peter Line, 42, of Westbrook Road, Margate, and a charge of receiving stolen goods against Bradley Thompson, 43 , of Bradley Road, Ramsgate.

The pair are due to appear via virtual link at Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 15 February).

The charges follow a report of a burglary at a property in Benenden Road between 12.20pm and 2.15pm on Saturday 10 February.

Some of the items reported missing following the burglary have not yet been recovered, including military medals, and a rare George Cross medal, said to be of great sentimental value to the victims.
