Three men and 2 women from Thanet arrested in connection with ‘war medal’ burglary

The war medals are still missing

Three men and two women from Thanet have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Biddenden where items including war medals were stolen,.

Kent Police received a report of a burglary at the property in Benenden Road between 12.20pm and 2.15pm on Saturday 10 February.

Items including jewellery and war medals, including a George Cross, were reported stolen.

A 25-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man both from Ramsgate were arrested on suspicion of burglary on Tuesday 13 February. They have been released pending further enquiries.

A 27-year-old woman from Ramsgate was arrested on 13 February on suspicion of burglary. She was released on police bail until 8 March.

A 42-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of burglary on 13 February. He remains in custody.

A 43-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on 14 February on suspicion of burglary. He remains in custody.

Officers have recovered some of the items reported stolen, however the medals remain missing.
