Man cut free from car after crashing into Ramsgate pub

A man had to be cut free from his car in the early hours of this morning (November 26) after crashing into a Ramsgate pub.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Kent Police and ambulance were called to the Hare and Hounds pub  at the junction of Margate Road and Northwood Road at 2.24am.

Crews worked with paramedics to free the driver of the car and also assessed the structure of the building for safety purposes.

The driver was trapped by his injuries and needed to be cut free from the vehicle. Using hydraulic rescue equipment, firefighters released the man who was transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital. Crews made the scene safe.

The circumstances of the crash are not yet clear.
