Ramsgate lifeboat was launched this morning (November 13) to a 23m, 136 Tonne guard vessel with engine failure nine miles East of Ramsgate.
Another guard vessel was attempting to tow it, but without much success due to the wind and tide.
On scene the Ramsgate RNLI all weather boat took over the tow and brought it into Ramsgate harbour. Once in the outer harbour the AWB requested the assistance of the inshore crew to assist with mooring the casualty vessel alongside the commercial quay.
Assistance was needed due to the weight and windage of the casualty vessel.
