A 21-year-old man with autism who went missing after attending East Kent College today (November 9) has been found safe and well in London.
Daniel Matthews was last seen walking along Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs, at around 1pm. A police appeal was launched to find him.
A search effort during the afternoon included the launch of Ramsgate lifeboat. The ILB carried out a shoreline search with the assistance of a police helicopter, police on the shore and Mobile Coastguard Units.
After a good search of the area, with nothing found, the ILB was released by UK Coastguard as they were satisfied that Daniel wasn’t in the water.
Daniel was later found to have caught the train to Euston.
