Police appeal for dashcam footage following fatal Minster crash

Police are appealing for witnesses and/or dashcam footage following a crash in Minster yesterday (October 23) where a man and woman died.

At around 9.10pm a two vehicle collision took place on the A299 Hengist Way, near Manston Airport.

It involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van, travelling in the direction of Ramsgate, and a white Toyota Aygo which had stopped behind a blue Renault Clio.

The two people who had been travelling in the Toyota were standing near the vehicle and were also struck. They died shortly after.  They were a 49-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, from the Broadstairs area, and both died shortly after.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles involved in the moments leading up to the incident. Anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicles seen before the collision is also asked to come forward.
