The Ladies at Westgate & Birchington Golf Club have managed to raise £4474.62 for the charity Porchlight.
This year’s Lady Captain, Lisa Stone, chose Porchlight as her charity because of its work supporting homeless and vulnerable people in the Kent area. Funds were raised by holding a coffee morning, which brought in nearly £1500, and a night golf event called Torchlight for Porchlight, which raised almost £2000.
This event was kindly sponsored by Blaze Signs, who paid for all the equipment.
Grateful thanks were also given to all the members and staff at Westgate for their contribution. A presentation of the cheque was made to Nathan Tough, a representative from Porchlight, who was delighted with the amount raised.
