Birds of prey, ‘have a go’ archery and laser clay shooting were all featured at the 73rd annual East Kent Ploughing Match held at Quex Park yesterday (September 27)

Following a successful partnership last year, Furley Page Solicitors  teamed up with The Hawking Centre from Doddington Place Gardens for the event, which attracts more than 4,000 visitors each year.

Visitors were able to explore more than 100 trade stands, enjoy a range of lunch and light refreshment options, take a look at classic tractors and engines, and watch the traditional Tossing the Sheaf contest.

The ploughing competitions  were keenly contested, featuring the latest tractors and ploughs plus vintage and horse-drawn equipment.

All the action was caught on camera by Ramsgate photographer Brian Whitehead.
