Three school-age boys have been arrested after police found a stolen car dumped in Ramsgate

Three teenagers have been arrested after officers recovered a stolen car in Ramsgate.

In the early hours of this morning (August 31), officers on patrol in Hereson Road recovered a car suspected to be stolen earlier in the day.

Kent Police received a report of a burglary at a property in Park Lane, Birchington, where car keys had been stolen and the car had also gone missing.

The vehicle was seen travelling along Hereson Road by police and was found abandoned a short while later.

A 15-year-old boy from Margate was arrested in the area on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and driving without insurance.

Following enquiries by officers  a 14-year-old boy from Ramsgate, and a 15-year-old boy were also arrested in connection with the burglary.

All three teenagers currently remain in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
