Have you ever wondered what it is like to work as a radio presenter? Or perhaps your interest in broadcasting is more towards news reporting or audio production?
Academy FM is the Isle of Thanet’s full time local radio station, and has recently been awarded a grant to provide training in all these areas.
The Henry Smith Foundation, one of the UK’s largest grant givers, has awarded Academy FM Thanet a sizeable amount to allow them to provide training in broadcasting skills and communication.
Patrick Foster, from Academy FM Thanet, said: “We are so excited to have been given this grant. This allows us to share our love of broadcasting with everyone on the Isle of Thanet. We are looking for people of all ages who might be interested in joining this course which is completely free.”
The course will start this Autumn: and no previous experience or knowledge is needed. So, if this sounds interesting, and something you might like to try, Academy FM Thanet would love to hear from you.
