Thanet is in the spotlight yet again with Botany Bay featuring as the backdrop for the new video by Indie band The Sherlocks.

The Bolton band, made up of two sets of brothers, Kiaran and Brandon Crook and Andy and Josh Davidson, were on the isle on June 22 to film the lead single on upcoming album ‘Live For The Moment’ out on August 18.

The band is the latest in a string of musicians, actors and magazines choosing the isle as its filming hotspot, including Michael Caine, the stars of Juliet, Naked, Vogue, The Tunnel, singer Shawn Mendes and stars of a Bollywood film.
Actress Maxine Peake was also spotted on the isle this weekend in Werkhaus, Margate.
