It’s not the first time the high end magazine has chosen the isle as a backdrop for its models. In 2014

Vogue  undertook a major promotional fashion shoot in the town.

The photographs taken by Yelena Yemchuk showcased Merino Wool’s new collection of winter coats, jumpers and trousers.

They were  published in The Cat Walk Edit supplement of Vogue’s August 2014 issue, and featured a model stood in front of Margate’s Harbour Arm, Dreamland, tidal bathing pool and Morreli’s ice cream parlour in Broadstairs.

Arrangements for the shoot were made through Thanet council.

Thanet District Council’s film and communications officer Sharon Kelley said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Vogue UK back to Thanet for a second time!

“We’ve worked with their location manager to find a wide range of locations as part of this shoot and ensured the crew were all hosted locally during their stay.

“It’s a real coup to secure such a high profile, global fashion name in the area and it’s been an absolute pleasure to work with the team again.”
