A vandal slashing tyres in Ramsgate has been caught on CCTV.

The young male targeted a car in Station Approach Road on Friday night.

Angry vehicle owner Nikita Mclaughlin posted the CCTV  to social media at the weekend.

She said: “We had all four of our tyres slashed at 10:45pm (Friday) night. We are in Station Approach Road. The young lad had a dark hood. He did it in full view of the station CCTV and my neighbour who gave chase.

“We don’t think we were the only ones!”

The Isle of Thanet News has been asked not to use the video because of identifying voices.

Kent Police confirmed officers are investigating the incident.

A spokesman said: “Kent Police received a report of criminal damage in Station Approach Road, Ramsgate on Friday 28 July.

“It was reported that car tyres were slashed between 10.45pm and 10.50pm. Officers attended the scene and continue to carry out enquiries.

“Any witnesses or anyone with information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is urged to call 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/34695/17.”
