HoSpice Girls to challenge teams at Ramsgate’s It’s A Knockout

The HoSpice Girls

Pilgrims Hospices It’s a Knockout challenge is back for another fun-filled, fundraising day on Sunday 9 July. The event takes place at Government Acre, Ramsgate.

Amongst the teams of enthusiastic individuals will be Pilgrims Hospices  own The HoSpice Girls team.  The group is made up of Pilgrims nurses, social workers and physiotherapists from the Thanet hospice.

Sarah Brown, Pilgrims community team leader, said: “We often get involved with community events and fundraising for Pilgrims Hospices.  This just seemed like an excellent opportunity to do something just a little bit crazy!”

Team member Sophie Van Walwyk, Pilgrims lead social worker, said: “Several of the care team helped with Pilgrims Colour Run in May and agreed it would be good to do something fun.  This event is perfect, we have named our team The HoSpice Girls and there will be two of each Scary, Posh, Ginger, Baby and Sporty HoSpice Girls.”

“The girls are really excited and looking forward to throwing ourselves into all the fun of the day and adding a bit of “zig a zig ah” to the event!”

The Pilgrims HoSpice Girls team are:

Sarah Brown – Pilgrims Community Team Leader

Sophie Van Walwyk – Lead Specialist Palliative Care Social Worker
