The Albany Taxi Charity is making its annual run to Dreamland

The taxi run is back

The Albany Taxi Charity in London is bringing the black cab run back to Dreamland Margate.

A convoy of 40 black cabs will make its way from London to Margate on July 3 as taxi drivers voluntarily bring disadvantaged young people and their families to Dreamland for a fun-filled day by the sea.

Following 2016’s successful revival of the seaside tradition, the event will see the procession of cabs travel along Marine Terrace in Margate as the children swap the city for the seaside. The park will open exclusively to welcome those travelling in the cabs as they get set to enjoy an afternoon of Dreamland’s rides and entertainment.

Dreamland’s visitors will be able to explore the exciting new park and its attractions – including restored vintage rides, as well as taking part in activities throughout the afternoon. There will be good times aplenty in the roller disco and the event will also see a special visit from the park’s bears in residence, Teddy and Betty. The Friendliest Food Court Ever – the all-new dining area at the park, will serve up the food for the day. The event will take place from 12-5pm.
