Kent Police is trying to trace two women helped a woman when a thief tried to snatch her handbag.
The woman was in Wilfred Road, near Ramsgate Railway Station at 2.45pm on Sunday 9 April when a man approached her and tried to pull her handbag from her arm.
The woman held on to her bag and the man ran off empty-handed.
The suspect is described as a white man aged in his 30s, 5ft 7in tall with short dark brown hair and was wearing a brown shirt and red or maroon shorts.
The two women who came to the victim’s assistance are asked to contact PC Chris Bungard on 01843 222181.
