Creative talent has been showcased in a spring concert at Ramsgate Free School.
The children performed a varied programme which highlighted the term’s work at the creative arts primary school.
It included play scripts they had written; interpretations of well-known music on the recorder, guitar and voice; dances based on the musical School of Rock and their topic learning. The showcase also included a display of artwork.
The audience enjoyed a dance based on Super Heroes, an interpretation of the S club 7 hit Reach For The Stars, a dance choreographed and rehearsed in their own time by pupils, and a dramatised retelling of a story about healthy eating.
Art teachers Nicole Mannings and Mike Brown said: “The children relished the opportunity to perform. They have worked really hard over the last two terms to achieve a high standard of performance.”
Ramsgate Free School is part of the Viking Academy Trust with Upton Junior School and Chilton Primary School.
