Film crews are in Broadstairs town and Kingsgate Bay today (July 30).

AFD production crews for the Juliet, Naked movie have been preparing to film in Chandos Square. There are some traffic controls underway in the area.

The film is an adaptation of the 2009 novel by Nick Hornby.

The production stars Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke and Chris O’Dowd as well as Azhy Robertson (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Lily Brazier (People Just Do Nothing), Ayoola Smart (Vera) and stand-up comedian Jimmy O. Yang.

AFD  have set up base in the Marina Road car park in Ramsgate and will be filming into next week.

On Monday they will be shooting scenes in Harbour Parade and Pier Yard car park between 11am and 5pm.

Temporary ‘stop and go’ traffic control measures on Harbour Parade will be in place.

The production company has also requested the suspension of on-street parking bays on both sides of Harbour Parade and at the Pier Yard car park for the day.

The movie tells the story of Annie (played by Rose Byrne), the long-suffering girlfriend of Duncan (Chris O’Dowd), and her unlikely transatlantic romance with once revered, now faded, singer-songwriter, Tucker Crowe (Ethan Hawke), who also happens to be the subject of Duncan’s musical obsession.
