Three young people have been identified following an incident in Westgate yesterday (April 14) where youths on bikes were creating a nuisance and shouting racially abusive language.
Kent Police were called to St. Mildred’s Bay and officers conducted an area search but did not track any of the culprits down.
Kent Police was provided with a video of the suspects and this has been circulated to all the surrounding schools as part of efforts to identify them for a racially aggravated public order offence.
Following enquiries today, three of the youngsters have been identified.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called shortly after 2pm on Tuesday 14 April to a report of antisocial behaviour near to St Mildred’s Bay, Westgate-on-Sea.
“It was reported that a group of teenagers were riding bikes in a dangerous manner and racially offensive language was used.
“Following enquiries, two boys aged twelve and an eleven year old boy attended a police station in connection with the incident and were spoken to by officers in the presence of their parents.
“An investigation into a racially aggravated public order offence is ongoing and anyone with information should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289.”

May as well have sent a strongly worded letter to them. That will teach them!
Imagine a 12 year old shouting abuse…what a traumatic experience! I feel sooo insecure now. Especially as a reader seems to know they are right wing thugs. Left wing children would never do things like that!
Well, right or left wing, I couldn’t care less: They can insult me or swear at me as much as they like.
I’d find it traumatic. Racism is abhorrent.
