Children as young as five years old will take centre stage at Monsterslam 2026, joining Kent’s biggest metal-mashing, caravan-crushing monster truck line-up when the event returns to Quex Park, Birchington on Sunday 26th July 2026.
The legendary Tigers Children’s Motorcycle Display Team, who have been captivating audiences since 1980, will bring their high-energy showcase to the main arena.
The young riders – some barely tall enough to look over their handlebars – will perform expertly choreographed routines featuring precision riding, formation skills, and even jumps through fire!
Event co-organiser Gerald McCarthy said: “It’s fantastic to have the Tigers Team here for 2026. They’re thrilled to be sharing the main event line-up with monster trucks including ‘Big Pete’, the world’s largest monster truck; its sidekick, the ever-popular ‘Grim Reaper’; and of course, ‘Swamp Thing’, which everyone loves.
“We’re really lucky that Monsterslam is the only monster truck event in the Southeast that—along with our ride truck, ‘Old Faithful’—features a whopping four active monster trucks.
“As for the little Tigers team, children watching on the day will be absolutely fascinated by what these mini-riders can do, and parents may have to prepare for being asked for little motorbikes afterwards.”
Alongside the monster trucks and the Tigers, Monsterslam 2026 also features:
- Bolddog FMX, the UK’s No.1 freestyle motocross team
- Mini monster truck replicas of the main acts that kids can drive
- Characters including The Stig and a replica Lightning McQueen from Disney’s ‘Cars’
- A family funfair and pony rides
- A food court, licensed bars plus a 100ft inflatable obstacle course for kids and grown-ups!

In MMR’s world kids should be seen but not heard.Getting involved in sports of any kind promotes self dicipline and a desire to achieve. Motorsport is a wonderful way of training youngsters in the proper way of driving/riding so they may become better and safer road users in the future.
