An 11-year-old Stone Bay School pupil has had his long locks chopped to donate to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments or conditions like Alopecia.
Forest Jackson was diagnosed with autism and global developmental delay at the age of three.
Forest has always faced challenges, particularly when it comes to sensory overload. For years, haircuts were an overwhelming experience.
However, everything changed when Forest learned about the charity that makes wigs for children with cancer, relying on generous people like him to donate their own hair.
And on Friday (October 3) Forest overcame those challenges to help others — showing immense bravery, empathy, and compassion.
He said: “I wanted to help other children feel better and have hair they could be proud of.”
But Forest didn’t stop there — he also raised an incredible £415 in donations to support the charity’s work!
The Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs free of charge to young cancer patients, is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK. The charity’s work relies entirely on donations from kind-hearted individuals like Forest and others in the community.
