Two women have been arrested after police in Broadstairs saw suspected drug dealing taking place.
The activity prompted officers to stop and search a car, leading to the recovery of cocaine, suspected cannabis, and several mobile phones and a large quantity of cash.
The officers were on duty in the town on Wednesday evening (23 July) when they spotted a man leaning into the car which had pulled over.
The car was stopped in Chandos Square, and following enquiries, two arrests were made.
A 41 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs, and being unfit to drive through drugs.
A 21 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of class B drugs.
Both suspects, from Broadstairs, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
No doubt a Ramsgate connection will be assumed

When I was a child living here, I recall that Broadstairs did not allow day-tripper coaches or fish and chip shops.
I see the arrest, there was a big overweight young woman wriggling around on the ground screaming her head off with two officers trying to handcuff her.
