Children from Priory Infant School in Ramsgate have enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at the annual KS1 Quad Kids Sports event, where local schools came together to compete in a fun and exciting athletics competition.
Teacher and PE Lead Mr Holmes accompanied a team of boys and a team of girls from Priory Infants, who took part in a series of challenging events including the vortex throw, long jump, 60m sprint and 300m race.
The events tested the children’s stamina, agility, strength and coordination, while also requiring determination, resilience and self-belief.
Every child represented Priory Infants with outstanding enthusiasm, sportsmanship and perseverance. They encouraged one another throughout the afternoon, gave every event their very best effort and demonstrated the school’s values both on and off the field.
To round off an already fantastic afternoon, the Priory Infants girls’ team were crowned 2026 KS1 Quad Kids Champions, finishing in 1st place and proudly bringing home the Quad Kids Trophy. Every child also received a well-deserved medal in recognition of their hard work and commitment.
Mr Holmes said: “It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the experience and making lasting memories.
“We are incredibly proud of all of the children for their excellent attitude, teamwork and determination.
“They were fantastic ambassadors for Priory Infants and should all feel immensely proud of their achievements. Well done to everyone involved!”
