A woman attended hospital and two people were arrested following a reported assault in Ramsgate on Monday (July 13).
Police and paramedics were called to Queen Street, close to the area where it meets the High Street and Harbour Street at 2.34pm
A woman in her 20s was injured and two males aged 41 and 16 were arrested.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 2.34pm on Monday 13 July 2026 following a report of an assault in Queen Street, Ramsgate.
“Patrols attended the scene alongside other emergency services, and a woman in her 20s attended a local hospital.
“A 41-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. They both remain in custody whilst enquiries continue.
“An investigation is ongoing and any witnesses to the incident, who have not yet spoken to police, are urged to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to call 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/113736/26.”
The woman’s injuries are not described as serious.
What a society we live in! No respect, no law and order. With no real answers from any of the governing parties, which will actually work.
Makes you yearn for the rose tinted glasses ‘good old days’ of mods beating up rockers & vice versa. The police giving no rights to people-no access to lawyers, keep you as long as they like, torturing you mentally with salt in your food & keeping you awake all night & physically, inventing false statements/confessions etc. Groups of yobs beating up people with hair too long, gays & non-whites. Guys blowing their pay packet down the pub & then coming home to beat up the wife & kids.
