A host of acclaimed comedians will bring their Edinburgh Fringe preview shows to Ramsgate Arts Club this week.
The venue presents four consecutive nights of double-bill comedy featuring some of the UK’s top stand-up talent before they head to the world’s biggest arts festival.
Running from 15–18 July, the season gives audiences a rare chance to see new material before the comedians take their shows to Edinburgh, with performances from Tom Houghton, Phil Nichol, Sara Barron, Sophie Duker, Hasan Al Habib, Dee Allum, Lenny Sherman and Patrick Monahan.
The preview season builds on the success of Vaults Comedy, the monthly comedy night launched in 2025 as a collaboration between Ramsgate Arts Club and comedy booker and manager Corrie McGuire, which has sold out every show since it began.
Corrie said: “It’s really exciting to have such brilliant comedians come to Ramsgate to preview their Edinburgh Fringe shows, and a rare opportunity for comedy fans to hear some jokes for the first time (and some for the last time!) before they head to the festival.”

Ramsgate Arts Club launched in July 2025 in the basement of the 1804 built Old Wine Warehouse building in Charlotte Court in Ramsgate.
Founded and run by Co-Directors Kevin O’Connor and Natasha de Samarkandi, the club bar is open four nights per week, 7pm till late, and hosts regular events including comedy, exhibitions, live music, film screenings and DJ nights.
