An area by the Queen Street/Elms Avenue car park in Ramsgate has been taped off while forensics officers attend the scene after an injured man was found early this morning (July 12).
Kent Police was called to the scene by paramedics at 5.35am. The nature of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
A 19-year-old man has been taken to a London hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 5.35am on Sunday 12 July after a man was found to have sustained an injury in Queen Street, Ramsgate.
“Officers attended and the man, aged 19, was taken to a London hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries to establish how the man came to be injured are ongoing.
“Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to call the appeal line on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/112594/26.
“Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
Typical Ramsgate now days take your life in your hands going into the town after dark, not the safe seaside town it used to be even 20 years ago let alone 40 years ago, Ramsgate has the published crime rate of a inner city the sooner I sell my house and move the better after 60 years here.

I would urge caution on such a radical decision you may regret. Crime abounds in all corners of the UK, not just seaside towns. There’s no escape from government austerity measures that favour early release of criminals and the mentally ill, cutbacks to police, closure of youth clubs which I remember in ’78 was a useful outlet for my teenage angst!
Sure, you will move, but unless you have the kinds of money to buy you a home in an affluent area with extensive green areas and low population density, you will not encounter much difference in crime levels.
Trying to keep your head above water in modern UK has become a monumental task; costs are soaring in all aspects of life, with some on the edge of survival see UK prison life as an escape from it all as it meets needs their need for food, housing and other comforts.
Jobs are fast disappearing due to AI, especially at the lower socio-economic cohort and sadly no government wants to stop it. I’m not condoning crime but successive governments are enabling it.
