Police, fire, paramedic and coastguard crews have attended a welfare concern report in Cliftonville with a man taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Kent Police was called to the Fifth Avenue/Eastern Esplanade area following concerns for a man at 8.37am today (May 28)..
South East Coast Ambulance and Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) were called in at 9.15am to assist officers.
Four fire engines and the technical rescue unit attended alongside two paramedic crews. HM Coastguard Margate’s rope rescue team was also in attendance.
A SECAmb spokesperson said: “SECAmb were called shortly after 9:15am today to reports of concern for a person near Fifth Avenue in Cliftonville.
“Two crews attended the scene and assessed and treated one person. They were then taken to a local hospital for further medical treatment.”
KFRS finished at the scene at 11.48am. Kent Police say the man “has been safely detained.”
