One man remains in custody following a police pursuit in Thanet yesterday (March 11).
Police chased a Ford Kuga after the driver refused to stop in Newington Road, Ramsgate at around 11am.
The car was pursued by officers along Pysons Road and into Margate before it eventually crashed into a wall in Northdown Road.
Two people fled the scene. A man in his 20s was later arrested and remains in custody.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “A Kent Police patrol required the driver of a suspicious Ford Kuga to stop in the Newington Road area of Ramsgate at around 11am on Wednesday 11 March.
“The car continued and was pursued to Margate. A short while later it collided with a wall in the Northdown Road area of the town.
“Two people left the vehicle on foot and a man in his 20s was later arrested in connection with the incident. He remains in custody pending further enquiries.”
