Administrators have been called in for Broadstairs-based South East Bottling Ltd.
The firm, based at Northdown Industrial Estate in Broadstairs, appointed Exigen Group Limited this month.
The business, founded in 2013, reached agreement in April last year for SEB’s entire small-pack packaging volume to be transferred to Holden’s Bottling.
Under the terms of the deal, Holden’s took over SEB’s existing packaging business, with SEB saying it would focus on its core brewing operations.
According to filings with Companies House for 2024 (most recent available) the firm employed 20 people.
A companies voluntary arrangement had been initiated in August last year and again in the December following removal of the process supervisor.
It is listed as in administration from February 2.
I hope the workers get new jobs soon and are paid what is owed to them, regarding back pay and redundancy. There isn’t any mention of trade union recognition on site.
