Homes in Minster are currently without power.
Power service teams are working to replace a pole dubbed the Leaning Tower of Tothill. The pole has been leaning at a sharp angle since the autumn with residents reporting its plight.
UK Power Networks say 49 premises are without electricity while work is carried out. They say they are repairing an overhead line fault and hope power will be back on by 8pm.
A UK Power Networks spokesperson said: “Our engineers have turned off the power in the Tothill Street area for safety so they can repair a fault on our overhead network.
“Our estimated time to have the power back on is between 19:00 and 20:00, however, this may need to change later depending on how our works progress.”
