Emergency services were called to Station Road in Birchington today (October 28) to a medical incident where a woman in her 80s sadly died.
Police and paramedics attended a nail bar premises in the road at 10.30am.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at 10.30am to a medical incident on Station Road, Birchington.
“Officers attended along with paramedics and a woman in her 80s was confirmed deceased. The woman’s next of kin have been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
A South East Coast Ambulance service spokesperson added: “SECAmb were called at approx. 1oam to reports that a person had collapsed on Station Road, Birchington.
“Multiple crews attended, however sadly a female in her 80s was pronounced dead at the scene.”
