Minster CofE Primary School swapped paint powder for puddles on Friday 3rd October, as children, staff and parents tackled the school’s very own Mini Mudder.
Building on the success of last year’s Colour Run – which raised more than £3,000 – this year’s challenge saw Team Minster getting muddier (and wetter) than ever, all in the name of fun and fundraising.
So far, the event has raised more than £1,600, with donations still coming in. The money will go towards new playground equipment chosen by the children – part of a yearly tradition of pupil-led fundraising that brings the whole community together.
The course featured crawling through mud, splashing through puddles and embracing the rain – with smiles as wide as the muddy streaks across everyone’s faces. Adults had nearly as much fun as the children, showing the true Team Minster spirit as staff, families, and pupils took on every obstacle together.
There were plenty of laughs (and maybe a few sighs) from parents at the end of the day, as they faced the ultimate challenge – cleaning up their little mud monsters!
Thankfully, a well-earned cup of hot chocolate helped everyone warm up and celebrate a fantastic day of teamwork, community and good, messy fun.
