Police are investigating a serious assault in Ramsgate which has left a man in a critical condition.
Kent Police was called to a disturbance taking place in Lorne Road at 10.20pm on Monday (14 July).
A man in his 30s was found with a head injury and taken to a London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Two men, aged 21 from Ramsgate and 18 from East Sussex, as well as a 14-year old boy from Herne Bay, were all arrested on suspicion of assault.
They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

And this is why after living my entire life in Ramsgate 58 years I am moving out of the town I love with my family, have lived in the same house for almost 40yrs the whole road is full of dfls, no respect for anyone.
Thanet as a whole is going downhill fast my youngest 13 is offered drugs every time he goes out, take my advice if you have kids get out of Thanet while you still can!

Ramsgate exists because of DFLs. In Regency times dozens of wealthy Londoners moved here and built many of the magnificent buildings that grace our town.

I guess you inky selectively read the news. So you missed the latest plans by thanet council to get shops tenanted and open. I guess you also missed the numerous articles about what has happened to stop repeats of tge Broadstairs incident. Stabbings? Not been reports of any stabbing for a while. As to assaults ever think that in fact these sad incidents are still rare enough to make news headlines, you need to be concerned when these things become so common thry don’t make the news, and quite happily Thanet is nowhere near that. Run Thanet down idmf you want, move away if you want but you will see that Thanet is actually better than most similar places and getting better.
Another negative about Thanet, Mark, is the poor standard of written and spoken English!
The whole country is going downhill/to the dogs. It’s not just Thanet, I used to live in Herne Bay and wild horses couldn’t drag me back there, it’s dreadful now too.
But make sure you don’t end up in East Sussex or Herne Bay, where you might meet some very suspicious 14 and 18-year olds.
Trust me Ramsgate may have a bad reputation but the whole of the UK is being thrown to the dogs. Ramsgate is one of the nicer places unless you can afford to move to a much more affluent area like Buckinghamshire Hertfordshire or the west country but these too all the posh small villages are changing , rapdily going down hill thanks to our wonderful political overlords. And you could actually be grateful for a lot of the DFLs in Thanet they are generally not criminals and most of them are not benefits scroungers spending into and supporting local businesses. Where do you intend to go ? Abroad ?

to our once lovely town.

Ramsgate is spoiled for choice when it comes to pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, art galleries, live gigs, music making opportunities….
We do all out weekly shopping in Ramgate.
We use the bank and the post office.
We get our phones fixed, and our shoes repaired.
Totally absent from our trips into town are encounters with violence.
That’s not to say it doesn’t happen. Clearly it does.
But it’s very unusual, and most often occurs outside a bar at 3 o’clock in the morning, or in a domestic setting.
Friends and family who visit envy our living in Ramsgste.
If your 13-year-old son “is offered drugs every time he goes out”, perhaps you should discreetly follow him when he goes out.
