Lovelys in Northdown Road, Cliftonville will be hosting two events this June .
From tomorrow (June 14) until 5 July, Lovelys is introducing its new exhibition space in the heart of the gallery shop with a show by Whitstable -based land and seascape painter Ric Horner.
Horner’s original paintings focus on the elemental qualities of open space, the energy of the weather and the expressive qualities of light.
The exhibition will feature up to 20 paintings including landmark views of Margate, the spectacular skies over Thanet and the coastline beyond.
On Saturday 21st June Margate based artist David Shillinglaw will be demonstrating the renowned range of CARAN D’ACHE artists pencils, paints and pastels following on from a recent residency in Geneva where the materials are made.
David is internationally known for his vibrant and eclectic artwork which spans various mediums including paintings ,murals and installations.
The demo is free and you can drop in anytime between 11am and 3pm to see David at work.
