Six fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to a blaze in Margate during the early hours of this morning (May 16).
Crews were called to the house fire in Millmead Road at 2.28am. Residents in the area were asked to keep windows and doors closed due to the volume of smoke.
Another three engines were called in as crews battled the blaze for several hours.
The firefighting operations were complete by 6.40am.
Two people were passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics due to smoke inhalation. Sadly two dogs could not be saved.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
