Police are appealing for witnesses, CCTV, and dashcam footage after a man was hit by a car in Westbrook last night (April 28).
Kent Police officers were called to a report of the collision between a car and a pedestrian in Canterbury Road, Margate, at 9pm.
Emergency services, including ambulance and air ambulance, attended the scene and the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was flown to King’s College Hospital in London with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver did not remain at the scene.
Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage, to identify the driver of the vehicle involved.

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesperson said: “SECAmb were called shortly before 9pm yesterday evening (28/04/25) to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Canterbury Road in Margate.
“Crews assessed and treated one patient at the scene before being joined by The Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex who airlifted the patient to Kings College Hospital in London for further medical treatment.”
