Neon Blue Tales IV

Artists Annie Taylor, Clair Meyrick, Bev Sage and Meg Wroe return to the Pie Factory Gallery in Margate with Neon Blue Tales IV.

Two Singers One Song; an exhibition of painting, drawing and sculpture

Two Singers One Song is an exhibition and artistic collaboration featuring painting and drawing by Jackie Askew and sculpture by Sheila Vollmer. Grounded in their shared language of abstraction, the exhibition highlights the relationship between their artwork and creative processes.

In Two Singers One Song, their vision is to spark dialogue and synergy between their pieces, connecting them within the gallery space of the Lido Stores. They aim to invite conversation about how abstract sculpture and painting communicate through visual language, material, and space, as well as how they reflect our ever-changing world and personal experiences.

TKE Studios Spring Exhibition

Karen King exhibition ‘Turning Tides’

Sunken Garden Westbrook community gardening

Come to a masterclass in Dividing Perennials & Grasses on the Community Gardening Day at the Sunken Garden.

Community Gardening is a fun activity for all the family in a wonderful outdoor space and everyone is welcome to join us in the garden, no experience is needed.
This month, alongside the Masterclass, there will be weeding, sweeping, pruning, litter picking and of course wildlife monitoring.

Tools and sustenance are provided or you are welcome to bring your own. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.

Rosa Rankin Gee’s Dreamland in Margate Walk

Explore the real world behind Rosa Rankin Gee’s book Dreamland in this hour-long walk led by experienced History Walker Dan Thompson. We’ll see the real locations behind the book (currently being filmed in Margate for a forthcoming BBC series) and explore the rises and falls of Margate’s history as a seaside resort and place to live.

Walk lasts about an hour, on level ground, may include some steps. Meeting at the front of Margate Station, walk ends in Margate’s Old Town. Free or pay what you want.

If you are looking to make getting active fun then come and join Col’s Kent Bike Tours to ride and see the Margate Sunset. They have a live DJ on a Rickshaw leading the ride, with 3 ride leaders if you need confidence to get cycling again. There is also space on the rickshaw for 2 non-riders to enjoy the experience.

This is a flat ride suitable for beginners along the Viking Trail and will be a great way to meet new people to cycle with.
