Flipping fabulous fun is coming to Westgate with the annual pancake races dur to take place next month.
Westgate-on-Sea Town Council is inviting residents of all ages to take part in the fun which will take place in Station Road on Tuesday, March 4 from 10am to 12.15pm.
A town council spokesperson said: “As we aim to return to the event’s roots, we are encouraging not only schools but also adults to take part. We would particularly like to see businesses, organisations, and community groups getting involved.
“We plan to hold several races with separate categories for schools and preschools, businesses and community groups.
“Participants can represent their business individually and compete against other businesses. Alternatively, if your organisation has a minimum of five participants, we can organise a separate race where employees or representatives from a company compete against each other.
“Participants will run a short distance while flipping a pancake in a pan. Don’t worry—pancakes and pans will be provided! Whether you’d like to join the race or simply cheer on the participants, everyone is welcome.”
