A dog has died in a house blaze in Margate

A dog has sadly died in a house fire in Margate.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the property in Taddy Gardens at 1.13am today (February 3).

Four engines attended the scene and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames.

There were no reported injuries, but sadly the dog died at the scene.

The cause is not yet known.

Fire crews finished at the scene at 6.04am.
