A teenage girl was treated for injuries after being hit by a car in Broadstairs yesterday {December 17}.
Emergency services were called to Ramsgate Road at just after 6pm.
The road was closed both ways from Gladstone Road to Bromstone Road. The youngster was taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further treatment.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 6.02pm on December 17 to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs.
“Officers attended the scene where the pedestrian, a teenage girl, was treated for injuries by paramedics. She was taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.”
A South East Coast Ambulance service spokesperson said: “SECAmb were called at approx. 6pm yesterday (17/12/24) to reports of a road traffic collision. One patient was assessed at the scene and transported to William Harvey Hospital.”
The road was reopened just after 7.30pm.
Please stop saying the William Harvey hospital in Ashford is a local hospital to us here in Thanet. The QEQM hospital is a local hospital not one over 40 miles by road.
