Ramsgate Garden Centre freehold goes on the market for offers ‘in excess’ of £7.24m

Ramsgate Garden Centre has gone on the property market with offers “in excess of £7.24million” invited.

The property is leased to British Garden Centres which took over the site from Wyevale in 2019. That lease runs until October 2049.

It has a retail area, restaurant and seven concessions including Menarys, which opened at the site in 2022, and The Works. The 4.41 acre freehold site  also has 160 parking spaces and is let with an annual rent of £521,920.

The centre is being marketed by CBRE Ltd, London

In 2018 the site was marketed for offers in the region of £1.3 million. It was one of 145  marketed through Christie and Co after owner, private equity firm Terra Firma, put the entire chain up for sale. The group had owned the chain since 2012.
